A Development Proposal was received for the Riverside/Underhill Flats "Sawmill Property" in October 2014, to create a Grocery Store on the vacant parcel at the corner of Route 15 and Dickenson Street.
The first DRB Hearing was held on December 11, 2014 at 7pm in Jericho Town Hall to receive questions and public comments on this proposal. A second hearing was scheduled for March 12, 2015 and has been continued to April 9, 2015. The most recent application materials submitted on March 31, 2015 are available for viewing here. According to testimony received at the hearing, the proposed Jericho Market would be a locally-owned business, operated by the same proprietor as the Richmond Market, and Johnson's Sterling Market.

These submittals were modified by the Applicant to incorporate several suggestions from the 12/11 hearing, aimed to improve pedestrian accessibility and the overall fit of this proposal into the character of the district. The revised site plan was submitted on February 12, 2015. This application is undergoing revisions and will be presented at the April 9 hearing.
